STEP Fusion is a UK-led programme to design and deliver a prototype fusion power plant at West Burton in Nottinghamshire. This first-of-a-kind programme brings government and industry together to integrate complex technologies, develop a route to commercial fusion energy and build the skills and supply chain required for future power plants.

WeBid provided strategic and writing support throughout the PQQ, ITT and competitive dialogue stages. We developed the bid strategy and differentiated win themes, positioned the joint venture as a strategic programme partner, wrote tender responses, coordinated evidence from partners and specialist consultants, researched dialogue topics and prepared dedicated dialogue packs.

This was a long, technically complex and continuously evolving procurement. We connected emerging commercial, technical and programme findings back to the bid strategy and written tender, maintaining a consistent narrative across multiple organisations, disciplines and stages.
