National Highways' £14.5bn Scheme Delivery Framework 2 (SDF2) will play a major role in maintaining and enhancing England's Strategic Road Network, covering more than 4,500 miles of motorways and major A-roads. The proposed eight-year framework builds on the existing Scheme Delivery and Pavement Delivery Frameworks, with a strong focus on asset renewal, maintenance, collaboration, standardisation and productivity.
