  • Extensive bid requirements with extremely tight timescales
  • Remote working with continuous client collaboration
  • Traffic signals

The Surface Technology Contract Retender (STCR) undertaken by Transport for London (TfL) included a series of complex, high value and long-term contracts and frameworks divided into multiple lots across Greater London for the supply, installation, maintenance and disposal of assets including Automated Traffic Signals (ATS), Variable Message Signs (VMS), Over-height Vehicle Detectors (OVD) and Surface CCTV.

This highly complex tender consisted of over 70 questions, across 8 Lots to be completed within a very short three month bid period. To meet these demanding requirements, WeBid assigned a dedicated Bid Manager, our Commercial Expert, Peter Bull and a team of Senior Bid Writers to deliver end-to-end bid management for our client.

The Bid Manager led Collaboration Days at our client’s office in Warwick, inviting suppliers along to brainstorm strategies for the bid and gather key information on the proposed solution. Our writers worked remotely, using Microsoft Teams to maintain close contact with subject matter experts throughout the tender period, supporting development of comprehensive responses in line with the ITT requirements and evaluation criteria. These outstanding responses really showcased our clients extensive experience, leading to a successful contract award.
